A new business has been established to cost effectively help companies on their pathway to obtaining cyber insurance.
Sydney-based cyberSuite Pty Ltd offers a range of services, including data protection and privacy advice, cyber health checks, pathways to cyber insurance, cyber breach coaching, and data breach response.
cyberSuite was incubated at specialist cyber underwriting agency Emergence Insurance and is owned by the Emergence Insurance Group. Colin Pausey, Principal of cyberSuite, who is also Chief Operating Officer at Emergence Insurance, says cyberSuite operates independently but frequently co-operatively with Emergence.
Mr Pausey says the multidisciplinary cyberSuite team works with businesses to identify and manage cyber risks enabling SMEs to align to cyber insurance expectations.
“If a company is struggling to get cyber insurance, we help them through the process,” he says.
James Cole, cyberSuite’s Head of Product & Service Delivery, says the approach is unique. “There are no cookie cutter solutions. We work with organisations and their brokers, leveraging our deep knowledge of cyber insurance, cyber security, data protection and privacy to give them an understanding of how to improve their cyber security posture to more effectively manage their cyber risks.”
Mr Cole, a lawyer and computer scientist with specialist expertise in data protection and privacy, says cyberSuite has linked with global partners to provide additional services for organisations, for example, privacy audits, security monitoring and remediation, password management, awareness training and dark web monitoring..
He says cyberSuite helps organisations discover what they need to do to be compliant with cyber and privacy obligations and mitigate their risks.
If a cyber incident or data breach occurs, cyberSuite’s specialist cyber breach coaches offer a range of services, including engaging forensic specialists and providing legal and communications assistance quickly.
Mr Pausey says cyberSuite supports organisations, particularly vulnerable SMEs embarking on a “cyber compliance and resilience journey”, to help them meet legislative and regulatory obligations, build effective business continuity and privacy management plans, get cyber insurance ready, and manage risks and incident response.
Mr Pausey and Mr Cole are promoting cyberSuite to the broker market to increase awareness of the need for cyber insurance across the business community.
“There is no obligation on cyberSuite clients to use Emergence’s insurance solutions,” Mr Pausey says
